How To Unlock BootLoader Xiaomi Redmi Poco

In today's tutorial we are going to learn how to Unlock the Bootloader of our Xiaomi Cell Phone. The objective of this guide is that you can then make changes to your smartphone, such as changing the rom, removing the rom from your cellular company, among many things.
It is very important that you read this guide completely. Your cell phone depends on it!
We ask you to please follow this guide to the letter to carry out this procedure. Also as a clarification, the Chidorris team, nor the creator of this article is responsible for a poor execution of it. It will always be the first recommendation that this type of procedure is done by a technician or specialized person.
Once these clarifications have been made, we can start the process, which is the official method that Xiaomi describes on its page.

Requirements to unlock the bootloader of your Xiaomi cell phone

1-The first and fundamental thing is that you have a PC, preferably that you have Windows 10 and that it is up to date. The reason for this is so that you do not run into any incompatibility problems when installing the necessary programs and drivers.

2-Secondly you will need to preferably have the original USB cable of your cell phone, and if you do not have it, at least have one of respectable quality. This will avoid any problem when connecting the cell phone to the PC. When you connect the cell phone, preferably do it in a USB 2.0 port.

Preparing your PC for unlocking
The time has come to prepare your computer for this process.

1-To start you must download the official Xiaomi Flashing Tool (MIUI ROM Flashing Tool). If the download doesn't start, try the download in a different web browser.
When you have it, you must move the downloaded file to a new folder on the Desktop of your PC. After this, you enter the folder and unzip it. The reason for putting it in a folder is so that at the time of decompression, the files are not left untidy on your Desktop.
2-Of all the uncompressed files you must open simply with a double click, the one with the orange icon and is called "XiaoMiFlash"

3-Once the app is open, you must first go to the “Driver” option, as you see it in the photo and select “install”. What this does is that the necessary drivers are installed on your PC so that it detects your cell phone when you connect it.
4-Once this process is finished, you can close the tool, and the folder where it was will no longer be used. You can easily remove it.
5-Next you must download the My Unlock tool, or Unlock Tool, as you like to call it, from its official page. It is the one that will allow you to unlock the bootloader of your Xiaomi. If the download doesn't start, try the download in a different web browser.
Once you enter it, you must click on the “green button” that says “Download My Unlock”. Once the file is downloaded, you carry out the same procedure as in step 1. By this I mean that you put the file in a folder on your desktop and then unzip it within it.
6-Inside the folder where you have unzipped the My Unlock tool, you must look for the file called “Batch Unlock” that has the orange icon. Double click on it and you will have the “Unlock Tool” open.

7-In the tool we must go to the “sign in” section, and log in with our Mi account. It is very likely that you will receive an SMS, when you log in to the app. You must enter this code as a form of verification.
If you don't have a Mi account, on your smartphone you must go to Settings>Mi Account, and there it explains how to create an account. It is very important that it is associated with your phone number. Since later in the process, this is essential, since Xiaomi verifies that it is our cell phone.

Preparing your cell phone for unlocking

1-The first and fundamental thing is that you make a backup of your personal information. The reason for this is that at the time of unlocking the bootloader of your Xiaomi, the cell phone is "reset" to its factory state.
2-On our cell phone we must go to Settings> About the phone> and where it says «MIUI version«, press about 10 times. What this does is enable the developer options on it.
3-We return one step back, that is, again to Configuration> Additional Settings> Developer Options. Once in them, the "OEM Unlock" option will be enabled. They will be asked for their Pin and enter it and select “Enable“.
4-Then below, we enter where it says «Status of My Unlocking«. And click on “Accept“. At this time it is very important that you have data on your sim card (even if it is the minimum, it is only used during this moment), since you must disconnect the Wi-Fi. And then click where it says “Add account and device“. It is at this moment that Xiaomi verifies our account, they “communicate” with our cell phone (that is why we needed to have data). And after waiting about 10 seconds, “Added successfully, the Mi account is already associated with this device” appears on the screen.

The time has come to Unlock the Bootloader of our Xiaomi

1-Now with the PC ready and with the "Unlock Tool" app open and with the cell phone connected to the PC through its USB cable. We proceed to restart our cell phone. At the very moment when it is restarting, we leave the volume button pressed – and wait for the “Xiaomi bunny” to appear on the screen with the phrase “fastboot” in blue under it.
2-At this precise moment on the screen, the information of our cell phone will appear, and in the “status” section it will say “locked”. This means that the PC has recognized our Xiaomi and that it is ready for the bootloader to be unlocked. If for some reason the connected cell phone does not appear, you must make sure that it is correctly connected to the PC, use a USB 2.0 port and an original cable.
3-Then they must press “unlock” and the unlocking process will begin.
4-Here two different types of situations can happen:
The first is that your cell phone unlocks the bootloader. It will restart immediately and an open padlock will be seen on the screen, at the time of restarting. It would be the end of this process.
The second and most common currently is that the screen shows that you have to wait a certain number of hours to unlock. Usually there are 168, which is a total of 7 days. This time is imposed by Xiaomi and cannot be avoided. Here what you should do is press the Power button for about 10 seconds until your cell phone turns on again.
You can continue to use the smartphone normally during the standby time, disconnect it from the PC, nothing happens. As advice during the 168 hours, do not use the app to clean the system that Xiaomi brings. Because it is possible that the cache of the apps is cleared and the 168-hour count is restarted.
You can turn off the computer no problem, yes, do not delete the folder where the unlocking tool is, since in the future you will have to use it.
5-If you are one of those who have had to wait, you must repeat the process once the waiting time is over, by this I mean repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 of this section.
As a clarification, it is not necessary to perform the unlocking exactly after the 168 hours or those that you had to wait. If you forget and do it a day later there is no problem.
